Aeroflot denies report about cancellation of flights to 26 cities

MOSCOW, Mar 3 (PRIME) -- National flagship carrier Aeroflot has not cancelled flights to 26 Russian cities, a company spokesperson told journalists on Wednesday, when Izvestiya daily reported about the cancellation.

“Information about suspension of Aeroflot flights to 26 Russian destinations is incorrect. It is laughable to make assumptions like these after analysis of the booking system,” the spokesperson said.

Previously, Aeroflot’s Deputy CEO for Strategy, Services, and Marketing Andrei Panov said that the company was reducing its presence on the domestic market due to a transfer of flights to Pobeda and Rossiya Airlines in the framework of a new development strategy.
